NLC Motocross Track Ayub National Park Rawalpindi
Off road adventure & Thrill with safety is the underlying theme of NLC’s well thought out initiative to regulate the one wheeling maestro youth towards the Motocross Track as per contemporary safety standards.The Motocross Club has successfully held a number of competitions at national level and is helping a great deal in reduction the hazard of One Wheeling and stunt riding on main roads and highways.
NLC Public Park & Playgrounds
To provide opportunity healthy entertainment to the residents of Rawalpindi, NLC has constructed a sprawling public park on Fort Road Rawalpindi with all necessary facilities. The park is being visited by a large number of families daily. NLC is also playing a leading role in the development of sports and sporting facilities in the Country. Besides Motocross Track, NLC has also established Sports facilities at Race Course Ground, Sports Complex near Ammar Chowk Chaklala and Bashir Stadium close to 502 Workshop. A cricket ground has also been developed by NLC near Ayub National Park Rawalpindi.
Army Public School & College Fort Road Rawalpindi
Construction of Army Public School and College on Fort Road Rawalpindi is an example of NLC services in the field of education. The beautiful four-story building was inaugurated in June 2013 and has 4000 capacity for the students. The School is maintaining highest standards in academics and is playing a leading role in provision of quality education to the students.
Crisis Management Role
NLC has selflessly served the Nation when faced with a crisis like situation. The Organization suspends its routine business to fully concentrate on its primary role of crisis management. NLC has made valuable contributions to address logistics crisis whenever it surfaced in any part of the country. Since its inception, NLC has been frequently employed by Government to tackle challenges which it met successfully. The Organization provided critical logistics support to the national and international relief agencies during Earthquake 2005, Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Crisis 2009, Super Floods in Sindh 2010 and Awaran Earthquake 2013, Thar Drought 2014, North Waziristan IDPs relief operation 2014, KPK Earthquake 2015 and Anti Narcotics drive 2016. Besides relief operations, NLC played crucial role in resolving crises of essential commodities like wheat, sugar and water etc.
