NLC participated in the CIFTIS

National Logistics Corporation (NLC) participated in the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) by setting up stall at the Pakistan Pavilion. The mega event was held from 2 – 6 September at the Chinese capital of Beijing. Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Mr. Moin-ul-Haque inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion.

A high-level delegation of NLC led by Major General Farrukh Shahzad Rao, Director General NLC participated in the event. NLC displayed its multi-faceted services at stall that attracted a large number of delegates and visitors from China and other countries.

Ambassador Moin-ul-Haque while talking on the occasion underscored the significance of the Pakistan Pavilion at CIFTIS. He emphasized that the event provided a dynamic platform, enabling Pakistani businesses to explore new avenues for trade and investment. He said that participation of leading companies in CIFTIS reflected Pakistan's steadfast commitment to bolstering its economic bonds not only with China but also with other nations, solidifying its position as a thriving hub for service-oriented enterprises within the region. Ambassador Haque also highlighted that the inclusion of NLC in the event would significantly contribute to enhancing regional connectivity.

On the sidelines of the CIFTIS, the NLC delegation also held extensive meetings with top executives of multinational companies participating in the event and presented seamless logistics solutions that extended to destinations encompassing the Central Asian Republics, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Afghanistan, and beyond. These operations are being executed under the aegis of the Transport Internationaux Routiers (TIR). Furthermore, the delegation held productive interactions with leading Chinese logistics organizations to explore the possibilities of mutual collaboration.

CIFTIS witnessed an impressive international turnout, with participation from 75 countries and international organizations, featuring 1,868 exhibiting companies. In addition to NLC, several other renowned Pakistani firms, specializing in information technology, telecommunications, airlines, and finance, showcased their diverse array of services within the pavilion. The collective presence of leading enterprises from Pakistan served as a testament to the nation's unwavering commitment to fostering international trade partnerships on the global stage.
